Longevity Okinawa, Japan - Centenarian’s Secrets

Photography Project by Jose Jeuland In early 2017, Jose embarked on a vacation to Okinawa for his latest photography project: Longevity Okinawa, Japan - Centenarians Secrets. His photography subjects were between 89 to 106. What sparked his curiosity about visiting Okinawa may be traced back to an article he read 12 in years past on the health insurance longevity of the inhabitants of Okinawa. Since tomorrow, the idea of longevity, regardless how impossible it might appear, has always intrigued Jose. In   Okinawa food   (centenarians), some portraits photos of hands that tell the storyplot of time are presented in monochrome and in color. This documentary project is different from his usual type of capturing his subjects in action. Each portrait is carefully directed by Jose to inform a different story.
